The nomenclature used in this communication is that used byFischer andBaer for well-nigh 4 decades. However, according to the rules of IUPAC-IUB commission this should be 1,2-distearoylsn-glycero-3-phosphoryl-N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-alanine.

A chromosome mutation affecting the number of nucleoli inXenopus borealis Parker

Résumé L'examen cytologique de la descendance de 2Xenopus borealis révéla 50% d'individus dotés de noyaux à 1 et 2 nucléoles (situation normale) et 50% à 1, 2 et 3 nucléoles. Production of lesions in various tissues by amino acids

Zusammenfassung Es wird der Einfluss einer Aminosäure auf verschiedene Gewebsarten und auch auf die Haut kontrolliert. Unterschiedlich starke, z.T. schwere Degenerationen, Entzündungen und auch Zellauflösungen waren festzustellen. Teilweise kam es zu Riesenzellbildungen oder zu Fibrosen in der Leber. Knochennekrosen und Blutungen wurden festgestellt.

Interactions of anti-DNA antibodies with dinitrophenyl- and other hapten-protein-conjugates

Zusammenfassung Kreuzreaktionen mit Dinitrophenyl-, Pyrimidin-, Purin- sowie Nucleosid- und Nucleotid-Protein-Konjugaten konnten bei Antikörpern gegen DNS, wie sie im Serum von Patienten mit Lupus erythematodes auftreten, nachgewiesen werden. Diese Resultate sind möglicherweise von Bedeutung für die Interpretation der auffällig hohen Frequenz von Paraproteinen, welche mit Dinitrophenylverbindungen reagieren.

Zusammenfassung Centpyraquin (3-(-p-fluorobenzyl propyl) 2,3,4,4a,5,6-hexahydro-1(H)-pyrazino (1,2-a) quinoline hydrochloride) zeigte hypotensive Aktivität bei narkotisierten wie auch bei wachen Katzen. Es senkt auch den Blutdruck bei Ratten mit nephrogenem Hochdurck. Die Hypotension scheint auf einem peripheren Mechanismus zu beruhen.
