Polarization of pulsar radiation

The polarization of radiation from four pulsars has been measured and interpretations of the results are suggested.     

The nature of pulsar radiation

Pulsar radiation may be due to particles which gyrate while moving in bunches along curved orbits. If emitted by electrons, the pulses should come from near the speed of light circle; if emitted by protons, they should arise within a few stellar radii of the underlying star.     

Possible maintaining mechanism of climatological atmospheric quasi-biweekly oscillation around Sumatra

There are convective activities over the maritime continent during a whole year, especially over Sumatra, a vigorous center of convection due to the blocking of the surface topography. Many researchers have pointed out that the first commencement of the monsoonal convection over Indo-China peninsula is the result of the northward propagation of tropical convection over Sumatra along the“land bridge”, emphasizing the importance of the convective activities over Sumatra in the process of Asiansummer monsoon (ASM) onset.
