Riassunto È stata studiata con aggregometro l'aggregazione delle piastrine di ratto in PRP ottenuto da sangue arterioso e da diversi vasi venosi. È risultato che l'effetto aggregante dell'ADP è molto più marcato sulle piastrine venose che su quelle arteriose.     

Experimental study in rats to reduce carbon monoxide in the blood induced by cigarette smoke, by inhaling oxygen at atmospheric pressure]

When animals are exposed to cigarette smoke, the concentration of carbon monoxide in blood is rapidly increased, so that intensive inhalation tests cannot be carried out. A simple apparatus is described to expose Rats alternatively to cigarette smoke and to oxygen in order to reduce the concentration of carbon monoxide in the blood. This method makes it possible to increase the daily administration of smoke considerably; nevertheless, under such conditions, lung tumors were not observed.     

Inhibition of human platelet lipoxygenase by cyanide

Summary Potassium cyanide inhibited the lipoxygenase activity of a human platelet cytosolic fraction in a concentration-dependent manner (ID₅₀=2 mM). The inhibition was monitored by spectrophotometry (conjugation of diene bonds at 236 nm), by chromatography (inhibition of formation of 12-hydroperoxy eicosatetraenoic acid) as well as by measuring suppression of oxygen consumption. The lipoxygenase activity of intact platelets was also inhibited by KCN as evidenced by the reduction in 12-hydroxy-eicosatetraenoic acid formation in response to thrombin.Acknowledgments. Inhibition by lanthanum ions of ADP-induced platelet aggregation

Zusammenfassung La³⁺-Ionen zeigten eine konzentrationsabhängige Hemmung der ADP-induzierten Aggregation menschlicher Blutplättchen. Diese Hemmung ist nicht von der Zahl der Zellen oder der Konzentration des ADP abhängig und lässt sich nicht durch Zusatz von Ca²⁺-Ionen neutralisieren.     

Inhibitory effect of proteolytic enzymes on platelet aggregation induced by ADP or thrombin

Zusammenfassung Behandlung ungewaschener und gewaschener Thrombozyten mit proteolytischen Enzymen (Protease, Bromelain und Ficin) bewirkt eine Abnahme der Aggregationsfähigkeit von Thrombozyten mit ADP oder Thrombin.     

Inhibition of ovulation in rats by antagonists to serotonin and by a new tricyclic compound

Summary The ovulation inhibiting activity in adult rats of the 5HT-antagonists cyproheptadine, mianserin and methysergide is shown. Furthermore the activity of a newly synthetized Cycloheptathiophenederivative, compound 26–921, which inhibits LH-secretion and consequently ovulation, is described.

Zusammenfassung Einfache Färbemethode und Elektrophoresetechnik zum Nachweis von Thrombocyten-Histamin zur Aufdeckung einer allergischen Überempfindlichkeit vom Sofort-Typ: zum Versuch dienten gegenüber Ei-Albumin überempfindliche Kaninchen, zum Vergleich der Basophildegranulationstest.     

Inhibition of noradrenaline release from sympathetic nerves by pentobarbital

Summary Pentobarbital concentrations of 10–100 M selectively inhibited the noradrenaline release evoked by activation of the nicotinic receptors on the terminals sympathetic nerves of the rabbit heart. Higher concentrations also decreased the noradrenaline release induced by KCl or by electrical stimulation of the nerve axons.This paper is dedicated to Professor Dr. G. Inhibition of endotoxin-induced platelet agglutination,histamine and serotonine releasein vitro by thiol-compounds

Zusammenfassung Es wird festgestellt, dass gewisse Thiolverbindungen wie Cystein, Mercaptoethanol, Thioglycolsäure und AET die von Endotoxin ausgelöste Thrombocyten-Agglutination, die Freisetzung von Histamin und Serotonin im Kaninchen-Thrombocytenplasma hemmen.     

Inhibition of liver lactate dehydrogenase by serotonin: Possible relationship to endotoxin effects

Zusammenfassung Serotonin hemmt die Lactatdehydrogenase im Lebercytosol von Kaninchen in vitro. Für eine 10%ige Aktivitätshemmung gegenüber den Kontrollwerten genügte eine durchschnittliche Konzentration von 9,15 /ml, die nur etwa zweimal höher liegt als der normale Blutspiegel. Dieser Effekt ist möglicherweise an der im Verhältnis zum Sauerstoffdefizit auffallend geringen Lactatbildung im Endotoxinschock beteiligt.
