Solve the partitioning problem by sticker model in DNA computing

The aim of this work is to solve the partitioning problem, the most canonical NP-complete problem containing numerical parameters, within the sticker model of DNA computing. We firstly design a parallel program for addition, and then give a program to calculate the subset sums of a set. At last, a program for partitioning is given, which contains the former programs. Furthermore, the correctness of each program is proved in this paper.     

A Worst-case execution time analysis approach based on independent paths for ARM programs

To overcome disadvantages of traditional worst-case execution time (WCET) analysis approaches, we propose a new WCET analysis approach based on independent paths for ARM programs. Based on the results of program flow analysis, it reduces and partitions the control flow graph of the program and obtains a directed graph. Using linear combinations of independent paths of the directed graph, a set of feasible paths can be generated that gives complete coverage in terms of the program paths considered. Their timing measurements and execution counts of program segments are derived from a limited number of measurements of an instrumented version of the program. After the timing measurement of the feasible paths are linearly expressed by the execution times of program seg-ments, a system of equations is derived as a constraint problem, from which we can obtain the execution times of program segments. By assigning the execution times of program segments to weights of edges in the directed graph, the WCET estimate can be calculated on the basis of graph-theoretical techniques. Comparing our WCET estimate with the WCET measurement obtained by the exhaustive measurement, the maximum error ratio is only 8.259 3 %. It is shown that the proposed approach is an effective way to obtain the safe and tight WCET estimate for ARM programs.

Complexity measure based on program slicing and its validation

The popular single-factor complexity measure cannot comprehensively reflect program complexity and the existing hybrid complexity measure cannot express the interactive behaviors of programs. To treat these problems, in this paper, we propose a complexity measure based on program slicing（CMBPS）. CMPBS not only can evaluate factors which affect program complexity such as the length of the program, control flow, data flow and data types of output variables, but also can give expression of the interactive relation between programs. And we also prove that CMBPS satisfies all of Weyuker properties. Compared with the popular complexity measures, CMBPS is a well-structured complexity measure.     

Defeating constraint based program analysis with temporal correlation function

Constraint based program analysis is widely used in program validation, program vulnerability analysis, etc. This paper proposes a temporal correlation function to protect programs from analysis. The temporal correlation function can be applied to resist against both static and dynamic function summary and eoncolie testing. What＇ s more, the temporal correlation function can produce different outputs even with same input. This feature can be used to damage the premise of function summary as well as prevent concolie testing process to run the new branch with new input. Experiment results show that this method can reduce efficiency and path coverage of concolic testing, while greatly in- creasing the difficulty of constraint based program analysis.

Computer Aided Design System for Developing Musical Fountain Programs

A computer aided design system for developing musical fountain programs was developed with multiple functions such as intelligent design, 3-D animation, manual modification and synchronized motion to make the development process more efficient. The system first analyzed the music form and sentiment using many basic features of the music to select a basic fountain program. Then, this program is simulated with 3-D animation and modified manually to achieve the desired results. Finally, the program is transformed to a computer control program to control the musical fountain in time with the music. A prototype system for the musical fountain was also developed. It was tested with many styles of music and users were quite satisfied with its performance. By integrating various functions, the proposed computer aided design system for developing musical fountain programs greatly simplified the design of the musical fountain programs.

Intrusion Detection Method for Program Vulnerability via Library Calls

Library function call sequence is the direct reflection of a program＇s behavior. The relationship between program vulnerability and library calls is analyzed, and an intrusion detection method via library calls is proposed, in which the short sequences of library call are used as signature profile. In this intrusion detection method, library interposition is used to hook library calls, and with the discussion of the features of the library call sequence in detail, an algorithm based on information-theory is applied to determine the appropriate length of the library call sequence. Experiments show good performance of our method against intrusions caused by the popular program vulnerabilities.     

Application of Dynamic Slicing in Test Data Generation

The program slicing technique is employed to calculate the current values of the variables at some interest points in software test data generation. This paper introduces the concept of statement domination to represent the multiple nests, and presents a dynamic program slice algorithm based on forward analysis to generate dynamic slices. In the approach, more attention is given to the statement itself or its domination node, so computing program slices is more easy and accurate, especially for those programs with multiple nests. In addition, a case study is discussed to illustrate our algorithm. Experimental results show that the slicing technique can be used in software test data generation to enhance the effectiveness.

In 1961, the Global Network Isotopes in Precipitation （GNIP） was operated by the IAEA in collaboration with WMO, and over 500 stations across the globe participated in this program. The initial objective of this program was the systematic collection of isotope data in precipitation to provide the basic isotopic data for the use of basic environmental isotopes in the hydrology within the scope of hydrological and geochemical cycle and water resources management. During the implementation of the program the close relationship between precipitation isotopes and air temperature was found. This finding was subsequently used in the paleoclimate study, and air temperature change had been reconstructed from isotopes in the ice sheets. Meanwhile, precipitation isotopes were also used to verify and improve atmospheric circulation models.     

Factors influencing the outcome of embryo freezing and Ihawing program

Objective: To investigate the factors that might influence the sucess of an ernbryo freezing and thawing program.Method: The relationship between the pregnancy rate in 73 cycles of embryo freezing and thewing program and the following factors was analyzed;matermal age,E2 level at the time of HCG trigger,embryo storage time,number of thawed embryos transferred,presence of sponsoring embryos and intact embryos.And the suvival rate of thawed embryos with different morphology,cell stage and storage time was evaluated.Result:Transfer with three of more than three thawed embryos resulted in pragnancy rates of 38.5% and 35.7%,respectively.compared with 5.3% for transfer of fewer than three embryos.The presence of sponsoring embryos and intact embryos significantly incresses pregnancy rate in embryo freezing and thawing program .No other factor examined had any effect on pregnancy outcome.The survival rate of good morphology embryos was higher than poor ones,but was not influenced by cell stage and storage time.Conclusion:Embryo morphology before freezing , number of thawed embryos transferred and the presence of intact embryos are important to the outcome of embryo freezing and thawing program.
