Summary Several fractions of mouse DNA were obtained by gradual precipitation with histone Fl. The analysis of their base composition revealed that histone interacted selectively with sequences of DNA rich in adenine plus thymine, regardless of the type of DNA molecules present in the DNA solution to be fractionated.Acknowledgments. Transition from virulent phase I to non virulent phase II in five strains of Shigella sonnei was studied by immunofluorescence and plasmid electrophoresis. High frequency loss of phase I specific antigens was observed by use of fluorescent phase specific antibodies. Agarose gel electrophoresis of bacterial lysates showed that transition from phase I to phase II is associated with the loss of extrachromosomal DNA. 相似文献

Replicative DNA synthesis in permeable mouse sarcoma cells was more sensitive to ethidium bromide (EtBr) than bleomycin-induced unscheduled DNA synthesis (UDS). A similar difference in sensitivity to EtBr was observed between DNA polymerases alpha and beta. The difference in sensitivity to EtBr of replicative DNA synthesis and UDS in the present system seems to reflect mainly the sensitivity difference between DNA polymerases alpha and beta. 相似文献

Zusammenfassung Intravenös verabreichtes Vasopressin (Hypophysen-Hinterlappen-Extrakt) verursacht hypoxisch-ischaemische EKG-Veränderungen an mit Isoproterenol vorbehandelten Ratten (wesentlich kleinere Dosen als bei Normaltieren). Dieser Vasopressin-Test erlaubt den Nachweis einer herzschädigenden Wirkung von Isoproterenol bereits mit Dosen, die noch zu keiner histologisch erkennbaren Veränderung (Nekrose) des Myokardiums führten. 相似文献

Riassunto Da ricerche precedenti era apparso che l'ipossia inibisce la proliferazione degli eritroblasti e che il megaloblasto è più inibito del normoblasto. Onde stabilire se il grado di sensibilità è strettamente collegato con la particolare natura del tipo di eritroblasto — normo- e megaloblasto — oppure se tale grado è in rapporto soltanto con l'intensità proliferativa cellulare, gli autori hanno studiato l'influenza dell'ipossia su normoblasti altamente proliferanti (in particolare, quelli della Talassemia major). Essi hanno potuto rilevare che questi ultimi posseggono lo stesso grado di sensibilità all'ipossia del normoblasto del midollo osseo umano normale, inferiore quindi a quello del megaloblasto dell'anemia perniciosa. Pertanto gli autori concludono che le differenze tra normoblasto e megaloblasto rispetto al fenomeno esplorato sono strettamente correlate con l'intima biologia dei due tipi cellulari. 相似文献

Larvae and adults of D. melanogaster and D. simulans were fed with acridine orange, in order to test sensitivity differences between the species. Our results show that, of the two species, D. simulans is more resistant in the larval stages, and D. melanogaster is more resistant in the adult stage. Summary The susceptibility of several strains of E. coli to phagocytic killing by polymorphonuclear leucocytes and the ability of the same strains to invade HeLa cells were studied.
