Highway maintenance administrative geographic information system(HMGIS)is that it can offer mult-aspect multideck and multifunctional spacewise GIS for macro management analysis and policy decision of highway maintenance department.It reflects such information as highway state and maintenance organization timel and easily.It's of great importance to promote scientific decision and managemental modernization as well as enhance alluracy of the job.The HMGIS will change traditional imormation handling into object,easy and effective work.This article discussed the HMGIS of Pingdingshan city using the theory of GIS.
