A Bi-echelon inventory model based on price discount

A Bi- echelon inventory model was developed and a two-level inventory system was mainly discussed in this pa- per. It is assumed that the external demand of this system is a steady random process, and the continuous reviews with (r, Q) order policy are adopted by two warehouses. The central warehouse makes use of incremental quantity discount to meet the order of the sub warehouse. Finally, the algorithm to determine the optimal order quantity was presented and a numerical example was also given to illustrate the effectiveness of the algorithm.
