LDPC迭代译码联合噪声方差估计

摘    要:基于EM算法推导了噪声方差的最大似然估计算法,并利用推导结果来修正LDPC的LOG域的置信传播译码算法,进行迭代译码联合噪声方差的估计.仿真结果表明,该文提出的噪声方差估计方法,较好地完成了噪声方差未知时LDPC迭代译码的辅助工作,使噪声方差未知时的系统误比特率性能恶化小于0.1 dB.

Abstract:Effects of noise variance estimation on the LDPC decoding performance are investigated.Based on the algorithm of expectation-maximization(EM),a noise variance estimation method is obtained.The method is applied to the BP decoding algorithm.Simulations show that,with the proposed method,the observed performance degradation is less than 0.1 dB when the noise variance is unknown.
