| Abstract: | An adaptive method for the numerical solution of Fredholm integral equations of the second kind with weakly singular kernel is proposed. The approximation of weakly singular kernel functions with piece-wise interpolating polynomi- als and the determination of relevant parameters are discussed. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the feasibility of our adaptive method. |
