Integrability of the Slip Line Function in Dead Zone of Compressed Thin Metal Workpiece

Assuming that the shearing stresses are of linear distribution, an integrable function of slip line rotation angle (?) and coordinate x is defined by introducing a parameter t into the boundary slip line in dead zone of a compressed thin metal workpiece. With changing the variable, the integrable function is solved exactly to give the total pressure acting on interface of dead zone and the average unit pressure distribution. It is found that the result is basically in agreement with that by prevailing numerical computation. A conclusion isthus reached that the slip line function is integrable along the boundaryof dead metal zone and, by the way, the reasonableness of numerical computation is justified theoretically once more.
