| Abstract: | A new dynamic absorber with multiple degrees of freedom (DAMDOF) was developed forshock absorption. Its gross weight can be reduced to a considerable extent under conditions that no additionaldeformation is applied to the springs used. The operation principle of such a damp-free dynamic absorber withmultiple degrees of freedom and the influences of its mass and stiffness distributions on gross weight are discussed. |
