美各战区国防语言能力建设研究及启示

新世纪以来,美军将外语技能、军事行动区域知识和跨文化意识提升到关乎国家安全与国防安全的战略高度,将部队国防语言能力提升为与先进武器系统同等重要的“核心军事能力”,对各战区所有部队依据其岗位职责明确了国防语言能力建设指标要求.文中从简要介绍美各战区国防语言建设的宏观背景入手,剖析了美备战区国防语言建设的需求背景、语种规划、措施手段、发展趋势等.美对国防语言能力的重视和按战区建设国防语言能力的做法为我国构建具有中国特色的国防语言体系提供了借鉴和启示.

Defense language capacity building of US combatant commands

In the new era, the US military believes that foreign language skills, regional expertise and cultural awareness are vital to the national security and national defense. It sees the defense language capacity as important as the advanced weapon systems and poses definite requirements on how to build defense language capacity to the units under each combatant commands. After making a brief intro- duction to the background of US defense language building, the paper analyzes the needs, language planning, measures and development trends of defense language building in each US combatant com- mand. This paper is intended to draw some references for building the PLA＇s defense language system.
