| Abstract: | In this paper, the mean Backscatterd sound intensity by a surface described by a Gaussian distribution of heights is calculated A formulation of the mean Backscattered sound intensity as a function of surface roughness, ultrasound frequency and grazing angle is developed. The theory is compared with experimental results in paper,they agreed very well in large grazing angle. |
