Research on the Value Analysis and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Oriented to Product Life Cycle

From the view of concurrent engineering point, a new concept named life cycle function is presented in this paper with the purpose of integrating all elements of the product life cycle at the conceptual design stage. Based on the life cycle function, the value analysis at the conceptual design stage is also oriented to the product life cycle. And the analysis is performed based on a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation approach. The comprehensive evaluation system using fuzzy sets and fuzzy math theory is established to aid designers to decide the best product concept. In the end, the application of the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation system to a real life part is illustrated.
