党的十七大提出了＂优先发展教育、建设人力资源强国＂,＂发展远程教育和继续教育,建设终身学习的学习型社会＂的新要求。随着《国家中长期教育改革和发展规划纲要》的发布,这些新要求为我国远程教育事业的发展注入了新的活力和动力。作为远程教育和继续教育的骨干力量,电大必定会在构建终身教育体系和建设学习型社会的进程中占有更加重要的位置,发挥更加重要的作用,并借此实现自身的跨越式发展。

On the Unique Role of TV University in the Building a Learning Society

Seventeenth Party Congress put forward the new requirements such as giving priority to develop education,constructing human resource power,develop long-distant and continuing education and build a learning society of lifelong learning.With release of the National Long-Term Education Reform and Development Planning Program,these new requirements has injected new vitality and power into the development of long-distant education in China.As the backbone of long-distant and continuing education,TV universities should occupy a more important position in the building a life-long education system and a learning society to realize their own spanning development.
