| 摘 要： | 称谓名词动用是具有转喻认知理据的语法现象。在名词动用过程中,作为事件ICM的主要参与者,称谓名词所指称的认知主体具有较高认知突显度,能为同一ICM中的动作或其他参与者提供心理可及。基于事件ICM中参与者与动作之间的转喻关系,文章将称谓名词动用现象大致分为施事者代动作、结果代动作与方式代动作三类,并结合语言实例对其进行阐述,进一步证实了概念转喻认知机制对于语法具有促动和制约作用。

On Metonymic Study of the Use of Appellation Nouns as Verbs in English |

| Abstract: | The use of appellation nouns as denominal verbs is motivated by conceptual metonymy. In the process of noun-to-verb conversion, as the main participant of Event ICM, the cognitive subject receives high cognitive salience, providing mental access to actions as well as other participants in the same ICM. Based on metonymic relations between different participants of Event ICM, the present study divides the denominal verbs into three categories and then discusses them with language examples. The research findings further support that conceptual metonymy motivates and constrains the grammar. |
