广东省城市职能分类探讨

采用城市行业就业人口的统计资料，以城市的基本经济活动作为确定城市职能的出发点，运用因子分析方法对广东省地级及其以上的21个城市进行了职能分类，共分出地方中心性能比较突出的；制造业突出的；各类职能都不很突出的；建筑业、社会服务业较发育的城市4个大类，和反映其内部次一级差异的8个亚类，并揭示了分类对象群体总的职能结构特点。

DISCUSSION ON THE URBAN FUNCTION CLASSIFICATION OF THE CITIES IN GUANGDONG

Using data of the urban employed population structure, combining with the multivariate cluster and statistical analysis which stand on the study of the urban economic bases, 21 cities in Guangdong, in terms of the comprehensive urban function are classified into 4 types: projecting centrality city, manufacturing- dominating city, none main- function city, architecture and service trade growing city. Furthermore , the above 4 types can be re-classified into 8 subtypes according to the differences of each type. The characteristics of the urban functional structure of the 21 cities are also revealed in the paper.
