On the Types of Euphemism of "Death" in Ancient Chinese and Their Cultural Implications

Euphemism is an universal social phenomenon. Euphemism is the product of language taboos. The number of ＂death＂ euphemisms is large in ancient Chinese. As people＇s status, occupation, cause of death, young and old, gender, the euphemisms of ＂death＂ can be divided into nine types. These euphemisms have profound cultural accumulation, and reflect rich and cultural implications of ancient society, faith, the Buddhist faith, advocating justice, for instance.
