| Abstract: | Self-assembled monolayer of Schiff base and its composite membrane, which was firstly formed on Au substrate, were investigated with cyclic voltammetry(CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) methods. All the results confirmed their formation. The apparent thickness of the composite membrane, which was calculated to be about 10 CH2 basing on the previous formula, suggesting that Schiff base in the composite film was displayed in a linear way. The meaning of this work is to provide one valid self-assembled monolayer, which is crucial to probe the electrochemical behavior of Schiff base. |
