中国人文式微的时下状态和西方新史学思潮的涌进,围绕纪念文天祥等人的学术活动,更激剧了"民族英雄"的大讨论问题。但是,一种民族伦理化的解读,既与英雄人物的原本心境不一致,也日趋脱离基层民众的语境而流为意识形态化的说教。再者,南宋文氏家族个体的历史选择,无论是抗元还是降元,都有其时代的合理性,亦无损于"文山精神"的实质。由此,广西玉林文氏后裔秉承先志,历代经营岭南社会,值得研究。

Recently, with the coming of western theories and the further decline of humanism in China, a debate about National Hero had been es- calated. Firstly, the traditional understanding, based on national and moral rules, cannot consistent with Wen's thinking. More and more, the so-called National Hero had broken away from the commonplace. Secondly, every member of Wen's family had their own choice towards history. In fact, op- posing or submitting themselves to the Yuan Dynasty cannot rewrite the Wen's spirit. Finally, it is a clear fact that Wen's offspring moved their resi- dence to Yulin and engaged in the local society successfully.
