The Analysis of Social Status of the Ancient Men from Chinese Character

Chinese character is the only surviving character in the world that express meanings after its development of several thousand years. It is the crystal and carrier of splendid Chinese culture. It not only has recorded China＇s material production, life and spirit aspects, but also condensed historical moments in the lines. Man is an important part of a society, whose social status is obviously expressed from Chinese characters＇ structures. This thesis expounds Chinese ancient men＇s social status and their positions in marriage and family, pocitical field and people＇s conceptions or the basis by analyzing Chinese characters ＂ （Xing） 姓＂ , ＂（Nan） 男＂, ＂（Fu） 夫＂, ＂（Fu） 父＂. ＂（Jun）君＂, ＂ （ Shi ） 士＂, ＂ （ Zhu ） 祖＂ etc. and combining historical materials. It is hoped that readers can get a more comprehensives understanding of Chinese ancient men＇s social and find more Chinese nation＇ s cultural connotations through the characters.
