摘    要:微米级氢氧化镁是一种应用于高分子材料的无毒环保型阻燃剂。但是由于其表面的强极性而致使其与高分子材料之间相容性较差。为了改善它们之间的相容性,本文探索研究一种使氢氧化镁与月桂酸反应生成Mg-O-C化学键的包覆改性微米氢氧化镁的方法;并且通过红外光谱等表征手段证明月桂酸键合到了氢氧化镁表面。初步研究改性后的氢氧化镁在聚乙烯中的加工及力学性能。

Abstract:Magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)_2) microparticles are nontoxic and can be prepared as a flame retardant for polymer, but they do not have good compatibility in polymer materials because of their high polarity. In order to improve their compatibility, Mg(OH)_2 microparticles readily react with lauric acid to give C-O-Mg bond. The synthesis process of a novel Mg(OH)_2-lauric acid microparticle is described. The modified magnesium hydroxide is characterized by FT IR to prove that lauric acid is bonded to Mg(OH)_2 surface. Mg(OH)_2 treated with lauric acid take a good performance in polyethylene (PE).
