| Abstract: | β-cyclodextrin/TiO2(β-CD/TiO2) complex catalyst was prepared via surface modification of TiO2 with β-cyclodextrin using silane coupling agent as the cross-linking agent.The structure and properties of β-CD/TiO2 was characterized by gravimetric analysis in determination of titanium content,fourier transform infrared spectrophotometry(FT-IR) and differential thermal analyzer(DTA).The photocatalytic performances of β-cyclodextrin/TiO2 and TiO2 were investigated by using methyl orange solution as objcet,respectively.The characterization results showed the content of TiO2 in β-CD/TiO2 complex sample was 75%.The photocatalytic performance results demonstrated β-CD/TiO2 complex catalyst could give the decoloration rate to methyl orange solution of 90% under the high pressure mercury lamp for 3.5 h,which is 1.7 times larger than that of TiO2. |
