On the Disposal Mode and Governance Mechanism of Mass Disturbancesin Frontier Ethnic Regions

In recent years, in the backdrop of growing worldwide ethnic separatism movement and domestic changes, mass disturbance in frontier ethnic regions reflects an upward trend, organized profound and vio- lence-oriented tendency become worse and worse which produces severe effects on economic development and social stability in multi-national regions. To fully recognize and accurately understand the causes, characteris- tics and response measures of mass disturbances in ethnic minority areas, thereby the normal and long-term governance mechanisms and models in handling mass disturbances should be built which have great and far- reaching significance for social stability and harmony in border areas.
