非物质文化遗产与东方主义

非物质文化遗产(简称“非遗)”是联合国教科文组织为了抢救人类遗产而推行使用的一个概念,这个概念的使用与申报世界遗产的国际潮流紧密相连,它移植中国首先得到官方和学界的推动,但是这个概念的出笼显然有西方后现代主义思潮特别是其中的东方主义理论背景。文章反思了“非遗”产生的背景和操作的误区,认为不能对这个概念的使用做简单的肯否,而应该从文化多边论出发,走出“非遗”评价中的东方主义陷阱。

Intangible Cultural Heritage and Orientalism

Intangible cultural heritage is a concept used by UNESCO to salvage the human heritage.The use of this concept is closely pertinent to the international trend of the application for the world heritage and its transplantation into China was confirmed and promoted by Chinese authorities and academic field,but its appearance was greatly influenced by Postmodernism,especially the theory of Orientalism.The paper reflects the background of the birth of intangible cultural heritage and its misoperation and stresses that this concept just cannot be judged to be "good" or "bad" and the judgment should be based on the multi-culture theory in order to avoid falling into the traps of Orientalism in the course of commenting on the intangible culture heritage.
