摘    要:基于序列预测二级结构的蛋白质折叠速率的成功预测暗示着折叠速率能够单独从序列中预测出来.为了追踪这一问题,提出了从序列预测折叠速率的一种方法,而不需要任何二级结构和拓扑的信息.残基对折叠速率的影响与氨基酸的性质有密切的关系.对双态和多态蛋白质实验测定的折叠速率的相关性达到了82.9%,这意味着蛋白质的氨基酸序列是决定折叠速率和机理的重要因素.

Abstract:The successful prediction of protein-folding rates based on the sequence-predicted secondary structure implies that the folding rates can be predicted from sequence alone.To pursue this question,we present a method for predicting the folding rates from their sequences,which do not require any information on secondary structure prediction and topology.The influence of residue on folding rate is closely related to amino acid properties.Our work achieves 82.9% correlation with folding rates determined experimentally for two-and multi-state proteins,suggesting that the amino acid sequence of a protein is an important determinant of the protein-folding rate and mechanism.
