现代中国公共舆论的自我理解

三十年代的中国，对于公共舆论的认知出现了两条分歧的线索，一务是充分地肯定公共舆论在社会担当和理性沟通方面的价值，认为是知识分子政治参与的有效形式。另一条线索将公共舆论看作是无知的大众的一些非理性的情绪性泡沫，应该被严格地规训在一定范围之内，以免影响国家利益的实现。

Self-understanding of Public Opinion in Modern China

There are two different judgment to public opinion in 1930s in China. Some scholars pointed out the value of public opinion in social construction and rational communication. They argued producing public opinion was one positive manner of political participation for intellectuals. Other scholars took public opinion as product of non-ration and emotionality from ignorant masses. They suggested public opinion should be limited strictly in some special spaces lest it gives bad influence to realize the interest of nation-state.
