湖南维新运动中的移风易俗

维新变法时期,湖南维新资产阶级知识分子利用《湘学报》、《湘报》揭露了缠足、吸食鸦片、蓄留辫子等封建恶习给人们带来的种种危害,大力提倡移风易俗,并身体力行,成立了不缠足会和延年会等风俗改良团体,在当时湖南产生一定的影响。

On the Transformation of the Prevailing Habits and Customs during the Period of Hunan Modernization and Reform Movement

During the period of modernization and reform movement,reformers in Hunan were greatly encouraged to make a change in prevailing habits and customs.They utilized Newspaper Xiang Xue and Newspaper Xiang to unveil the harms and dig bugs in foot binding,opium-taking,pigtail wearing as well as other feudalism-flavored customs.They resolved to practice a healthy and positive life style and set up many organizations such as Feet-free society and Longevity association,which have exerted certain influence on the society of Hunan.
