| Abstract: | The authors give an analytical calculating formula of critical speed formultiple span nonuniform rotating axis with variable diameters in arbitboundary conditions with step reduction method1].This is the only necessaryway to solve a nonlinear algebraic equation.By solving this equation,onecan obtain arbitrary order critical speeds,and prove its convergence.Numerical examples are given at the end of the paper.They indicatesatisfactory results can be obtained by this method. |
