| Abstract: | The theoretical analysis and a complete set of formulas for designingbiconical sampler are given in this paper. On the basis of these formulasand principles, a biconical sampler has been successfully designed, assembledand tested. That bandwidth of this sampler is from O to 12.4GHz. Thesampling sensitivity is flat within its bandwidth, with a slight decreaseof less than 3dB at the upper frequency end. The standing wave ratiois less than 2.2 over the bandwidth. The experimental data show thatthis sampler possesses a good performance. |
