| Abstract: | In Xinjiang the alluvial fan-shaped city is a typical case of the oasis city which is the center of economy, polictics and culture in the arid land. This paper mainly studies various geological factors relating to its location, to which land and water are of vital importance. Aiming at the minimum cost of land requisition and the minimum charge for water, a theoretical model has been established for optimizing the location for the oasis city. And then the model has been tested and verified by taking Kuitun city as an example. It can provide the theoretical basis for studies on urban development. |
