| Abstract: | The characteristics of data in data warehousing is analytically summarized.Entity-relation model and multidimensional model are introduced respectively with a focus on their basic principles.Characteristics of both data models are briefly analyzed with a comparison of strength and weakness between them.Finally,a general remarks are given to discuss about which data model is suitable for data warehouse environment. |
