以等腰三角形ABC作为一般位置直线,由于斜边AB的位置一定,则C点以AB作为轴线作旋转运动的轨迹就是一个定圆,从而该定圆的正面投影和水平投影必然都是一个形状和位置一定的椭圆,由于C点的正面投影没有在该圆的正面投影的椭圆上,导致了没有C点的水平投影的精确解.若适当地改变C点的正面投影的位置,使C点的正面投影落在该圆的正面投影的椭圆上,才能求得C点的水平投影的一个精确解;或者改变已知条件,即△ABC只是直角三角形,而不是等腰直角三角形,这时C点的水平投影才有两个精确解.
