摘    要:提出了一种基于研究喷注内部动力学起伏的区别夸克与胶子喷注性质的新方法。用蒙特—卡洛方法证明了横动量阶乘矩的标度性质在这两类喷注中非常不同。对于夸克喷注,随着分割数的增大而很快地趋于饱和;而对于胶子喷注。趋于饱和很慢,这样就得到了夸克与胶子碎裂动力学之间的一个定性差别。

Abstract:A new method for distinguishing the property of quark and gluon jetsis proposed, which is based on the study of the dynamical fluctuations inside these jets. It is shown, using Monte Carlo method, that the scaling property of the factorial moments in pt direction is significantly different for these two kinds of jets. The F2pt tends to saturation with the increasing of partition number very fast for quark jets; while that of gluon jets goes to saturation slowly,providing thus a qualitative difference between the fragmentation dynamics of quarks and gluons.
