Abstract:Electro-acoustical efficiency is an important parameter for power ultrasonic transducers and potential efficiency is the maximum electro-acoustical efficiency a transducer can attain.It does not depend on the load, and is only determined by the transducer's proper parameters.By means of the equivalent circuit of transducers, the paper analyzes the effects of dimensions and the contact surfaces on the resonant frequency, equivalent mechanical loss impedance and the potential efficiency of the piezoelectric sandwich transducer.The results can be used as a theoretical basis for the rational design of the piezoelectric sandwich transducers.
