| Abstract: | The effect ot the lateral effect on the vibrational characteristics of the large cross section horns is discussed. On the basis of the energy method, we derive the resonant frequency of the large cross section horns by introducing the lateral kinetic energy into the total energy of the horn. Compared with the calculated resonant frequency of the horns according to the one dimensional theory, the results derived from the corrected formulas are more consistent with the measured frequencies. |
