| Abstract: | This paper focuses its analysis on the four aspects of meaning of an English word,namely,the denotative meaning showing the relation between meaning and things,the grammatical meaning showing the relation between mean- ing and grammar,the connotative meaning showing the relation between meaning and people and the translational meaning between words of different languages. |
