摘    要:高校开展双语教学需要大量既精通专业又精通外语的教师,双语师资的欠缺已成为制约我国高校双语教学的瓶颈。大学英语教师具备扎实的外语应用能力,如果在学科知识和跨学科知识结构方面进行必要的培训,将有助于改变传统的大学英语教师作用,树立大学英语教师的新角色地位。大学英语教师的成功转型,既有利于推动大学英语教学改革,也能充分利用高校的现有资源,促进双语教学。

Abstract:There has been a great demand of teachers who are skilled in profession and foreign language since bilingual instruction was practiced in universities. The lack of such teachers has restricted the development of bilingual instruction in universities. To strive for a new and more important role, college English teachers must undergo some training in professional knowledge to go along with their foreign language proficiency. Transforming a foreign language teacher into a bilingual teacher not only makes full use of the teaching resources in a university, but also greatly promotes the development of bilingual instruction.
