苗族麻山支系长期生息在喀斯特山区,因此积累了高效利用与精心维护喀斯特生态系统的经验和技能。20世纪中期,随着周边社会环境的巨变,麻山地区石漠化灾变日趋扩大,虽经多方救治,成效甚微。但全面剖析当前苗族的生计方式后发现,发掘和利用苗族传统的地方性知识和技能,在石漠化灾变救治中具有不可替代的特殊价值。据此,可望找到根治石漠化灾变的可行方法。

Ecological Knowledge of the Miao People in the Control of Rocky Desertification

The Mashan Miao people who have been living in such Karst mountainous areas for quite a long time have accumulated rich experiences in making use of and protecting their own Karst ecological system.In the middle 19th century,with the abrupt changes in the surrounding areas,the rocky desertification in Mashan area deteriorated and expanded,with little progress achieved despite the efforts made by various parties.However,a thorough analysis of the subsistence mode of the Miao people shows that exploring and applying the traditional knowledge and techniques of the Miao is of special and indispensable importance to the control of rocky desertification.On this basis,a feasible way to bring rocky desertification under complete control may be found.
