Contextual Interpretation of the Validity Crisis of New Chinese Poetry

In order to understand the contextual complexity of the validity crisis of new Chinese poetry, the article has further reviewed Chinese society in which the modern stance of new poetry had come into being, the modern context confronted by new poetry, and the technical context resulting from industrialization, market economy and consumptive culture. Within these contexts, the validity of new poetry does not depend on itself, but on the reality of China. Therefore, when great changes happened one after another in modern Chinese society, the dependency and heteronomy presented in new poetry made its validity more difficult.
