摘    要:骨干链路传输带宽是多跳无线Mesh网络性能的主要瓶颈之一.基于Linux 开源代码构建无线Mesh网络实验床,分别在IXP425和x86平台下采用成熟的IEEE 802.11a无线横块对无线Mesh网络骨干链路性能进行了一系列实验研究.实验结果表明,采用双链路的无线Mesh网络骨干链路可以达到100 Mb/s级别的传输带宽,将有效提升了多跳无线Mesh网络的应用前景能.

Abstract:Backbone performance is one of the main bottlenecks in multi-hop wireless Mesh network.In this paper, Wireless Mesh network testbeds are constructed on the IXP425 and x86 platform individually with the Linux open source code. Within these testbeds, serials of experiments are carried out to analysis the wireless Mesh network performance with signal-link and dual-link based IEEE802.11a standard. Experiment results show that CPU packet forwarding ability is one of the main factors which influence the performance of multi-hop wireless Mesh network. On the x86 platform, with a 2.6G CPU, the backbone bandwidth can reach 110Mbps based on dual-link and the multi-hop wireless Mesh network performance is promoted effectively.
