一种基于通用PC的局域网时间同步方法

拥有一个精准的时间同步机制是许多网络应用的前提。目前的时间同步技术主要分为基于外部时钟源和基于软件算法两种,但现有的时间同步方法实现较为复杂或部署成本较高。提出一种基于通用PC的局域网时间同步方法,以TSC寄存器取代系统时钟作为同步的时间源,通过客户机请求与服务器响应的方式进行时间同步,计算简单,开销较小。实验结果表明,该方法的同步精度较高,且可以在较长时间内保持,适用于对时间同步要求较高的应用场合。

A New Approach of Time-synchronization for LAN Based on General PC

Possessing a shrewd accurate time synchronous mechanism is the prerequisite of many network applications. And these time synchronous mechanisms are based on the additional clock source or algorithm, but they are difficult to calculate or cost so much. This paper puts forward a kind of time synchronous method for LAN(local area network) based on general PC, replaces systematic clock with TSC(time stamp counter) register as synchronous time source, achieves synchronization through a client and server style, it is easy to calculate and needs less expense. The result of experiment shows that the synchronous precision of this method is higher, and can be kept longer; it also shows that this method is suitable for the application occasion which requires higher time-synchronization.
