基于体纹理的瀑布碰撞检测

摘    要:与采用层次包围盒的瀑布的碰撞检测不同,采用将地形图元的平面方程,通过实例化技术绘制到体纹理;通过瀑布粒子运动位置对体纹理进行采样,由粒子与平面的距离判断瀑布粒子是否与地面发生碰撞;并根据反射规律决定瀑布粒子碰撞后的运动,绘制出瀑布下落后沿着地表面随着地势流动的效果。实验表明,这种方法能够满足实时性绘制要求。

Abstract:Different with the waterfall collision detection using hierarchical bounding box, the plane equation of terrain primitives may be rasterized into the volume cell of volume texture with hardware instancing, the volume texel is sampled for its plane equation according to waterfall particle position. The particle is then checked for collisions against the plane equation. If collision occurs, the particle is deflected according to its own velocity and the plane equation. The effect of a waterfall flowing along the surface of the terrain is drawn. Some examples are given to illustrate the realtime rendering.
