| Abstract: | On the basis of the theory and methodology of ecosystem engineering we have systematically evaluated seven types of marshland uses for biological production in Lixiahe region, Jiangsu province. The integrated values of their economic, ecological and social benefits are listed in order as follows: agrosilvofishery system ( 599. 30 ) , silvofishery system ( 529. 25 ) , fishery system ( 489. 30 ) , agrosilvicultural system (476. 47) , agricultural system (310. 70) , silvicultural system (289. 33) and natural marshland (35. 03). The agrosilvofishery system is the best with maximum comprehensive benefits and can serve as reference for rational uses of marshland. |
