| Abstract: | Subjectless clauses appear in written English quite frequently.Since a subjectless clause does not have its own grammatical subject,it is essential to determine its logical subject,so as to correctly understand the complete meaning of the subjectless clause.Through large number of example sentences,this article gives an analysis of logical subjects in the three types of subjectless clauses:Infinitive,Participle and Verbless clauses. |
