跨文化比较在外语教学中的思考和应用

摘    要:从比较美国和日本两种文化入手,分析了个人主义/集体主义文化对英语和日语语言特征形成的影响。从代词的使用,对清晰/模糊表达的期待,非言语交际的使用三个方面比较了英语和日语在交际行为中的文化制约性。对语言交际行为中的文化冲突作出解释,并提示英语专业的中国学生在学习日语时须注意文化的理解与语境的转换。

Abstract:Using individualism/collectivism as the main parameters, the impacts of culture on the English and Japanese communication are analyzed. The cultural influences on languages and communication of English and Japanese are compared in three aspects of the use of pronoun, the communication data quantity, and the non-verbal using. The cultural conflict caused by different cultural characteristics is explained. The research results remind the students majoring in English to pay attention to thinking transference when studying Japanese as a second foreign language
