| Abstract: | IPv6 is known as the next generation Internet Protocol.This essay gives a brief introduction of technical evolutions IPv6 has made over IPv4.The transition mechanisms and techniques, especially the dual stack method is fully discussed while the 6-Bone experimental test bed and the future of IPv6 is given in the last part of the paper. |
