| Abstract: | Based on the paraxial image height defined for various types of lens, the aberration characteristics of distortion for F lens and Fourier transform lens are analyzed and compared with those of image-forming lens. Theoretical formulae for calculating distortion are given. Two novel methods for calculating the distortion of F lens and Fourier lens with conventional program on the aberration of an Imageforming optical system are proposed. The conventional program has been modified and its function extended. The concepts, procedures as well as specific features of the methods are described and some formulae are given. |
