| Abstract: | The extension of an order on a set to a power set happens quite frequently in social choicetheory and value theory. An axiomatic treatment of this topic is carried out in the paper. The basicbehavior assumptions and their relations in the literature are analyzed. The criteria for using the basicbehavior assumptions to the construction of lexicographic order are investigated. The compatibility ofbehavior assumptions is studied and some compatible assumptions are given. |
