| Abstract: | The paper discusses the essentials and development of VSAT communication network technology. After explaining the meaning of the abbreviation "VSAT", the paper describes successively the trends of reducing the size of earth antenna used in the satellite communication, the particular operations of VSAT network, the choice of frequency bands for satellite links, the equipment installed in the VSAT and hub stations, the information services, multi-access techniques, and future developments of VSAT communication networks. |
